Natural horsemanship works with the instincts of a horse to gain cooperation and trust. 
The best results are realized when your horse and I work together first for some initial sessions to establish communication and understanding to build trust.
You and I then work together so this same approach is presented to the horse in a consistent manner.

The time it takes to establish a good working relationship with your horse is dependent on both your experience with horses and your dedication to learning a new endeavor. My goal is to help you learn how to become a trusted guide for your horse.

• Hourly rate = $30/hr + mileage at .50/mi over 10 miles from Elgin.

  Horses taken in for monthly training are given hay twice daily and kept on pasture for 12 hours. Some horses may need additional grain to maintain an ideal body weight, however, most horses do better in training without grain to create excessive energy. Supplements and wormers administered without charge. During the day, horses are on separate pastures with a run-in stall available. They can socialize over the fence with my own herd. At night, horses are kept in paddocks or stalls. Horses are groomed daily, and feet picked out.
